B.Tech Dairy Science and Technology Programme, the first of its kind in the state was initiated in the year 1993 under the aegis of the Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences of Kerala Agricultural University. Later it was upgraded to the status of a college in the year 1998. With the advent of the Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in 2010, the college was further upgraded to the status of an independent faculty. The Institute facilitates a close interaction between scientists, technocrats, students, farmers and dairy industry such that all are mutually benefited. The college has endowed more than 250 Dairy professionals who are well equipped to take up challenging responsibilities in dairy industry, research institutes and academia.
