PTA History
The Parent Teacher Association of the College of Dairy Science and Technology was formed in the year 2002 with the following objectives:
- To work for the welfare of students, teachers and for the development of the institution.
- To foster and promote good relationship among the members of the teaching staff, student and parent/guardians of the students.
- To assist students coming from Socially and Economically backward group financially or otherwise to complete their education successfully.
- To promote the activities of the Career Guidance and Placement Cell and to conduct Seminars and Technical/Training programmes for the students
- To acquire technology oriented skills/talents.
- To institute scholarships, prizes, medals, endowments etc for the benefit of students showing proficiency in their studies and co-curricular activities.
A General Body meeting of Parents of B.Tech (DSc. &Tech) students and faculty members held on 25.11.2002 decided to form the CDST Parent Teacher Association and the draft bye-law was formally approved by the General Body. A nine member Executive Committee was elected with Dr. V. Prasad, Special Officer- CDST as the Patron and Sri. N. Ravindran Nair, as the President. Other Executive Committee members were:
